Steve C Review of Cottonwood tucson
I had an amazing experience at Cottonwood.
I had an amazing experience at Cottonwood.
I have suffered through several traumas, abuse, depression, and anxiety. I was going to counselors once per week for about 2 years. By the grace of God, I was able to work with Cottonwood staff and the VA covered my visit through Community Care Network.
From preadmission through my last day, the team at Cottonwood did not disappoint. I completed over 300 hours of individual and group therapy, classes, and physical training sessions. If I had to mention each person there who impacted my life, I would have to list all of the counselors, nurses, PCFs, cafeteria workers, and support staff. I was treated with the utmost respect throughout my stay. I was able to make some major changes in my life based on what I learned there.
As for naysayers in reviews and otherwise, I say this. The residents I saw putting in the work and following the program at Cottonwood made notable changes during their stay. The people who complained about everything, and found reasons to fight with staff left the same people they were on day one. It's a lot of work, but worth it.
I have made some lifelong friends from my journey there. The alumni program is also excellent. I attend meetings regularly and receive a lot of correspondence via email, the app, and even a personal call from time to time.
If you have a family member in need of therapy or addiction recovery, I highly recommend Cottonwood.
