Ollie Serre Review of Ramada Plaza Hotel Grand Rapid...

As a frequent weekly marriott/delta user, this delta hotel has fallen short of my expectations.
I always have a bit of a higher expectation when I go to a delta over a Fairfield or a four points.
I've stayed at this location for 3 nights.
Let's start with the pros:
- rooms look modern
- lots of outlets throughout
- lobby was well maintained and looked nice
Cons:
- my bathroom was far from clean, there was thick hair still in the tub and dark mold under the soap holder. I instantly got out of the tub in disgust
- since I was here on business, wifi was crucial for me to keep working. Unfortunately it dropped for about an entire night. I called downstairs only to be told that it is impossible since we're all on the same system. Gee thanks.
I then proceeded to go downstairs with my laptop and went over it again and they finally told me sorry it's down.
- two mornings I had my "do not disturb" on my door handle and was awoken by staff knocking on my door... Why put the sign up?
- the pool slide and the hot tub was not working. The pool area was very chilly and was probably not suitable for a comfortable swim.
- some usb outlets in my room were too loose and not functional
All in all, I was unfortunately dissapointed with this location and hope management can get some of this sorted out. I still have a lot of respect for the staff and Delta hotels in general.
Thank you for the stay.
