Was woken up at 12:34 am with two officers ringing the doorbell, banging on windows, and shining flashlights through every accessable window due to accidentally setting off the house alarm at 12:03 am. 31 minute response time= not good. The officer then demanded they have to come in and check everything. I said no, it's late and my family WAS sleeping. Everything is alright. The officer crossed his arms and took a step towards me in a threatening manner and said he needed in MY house to ensure everyone is safe. I smiled and said no, I appreciate it, but everyone is fine, have a nice night guys. The other officer continued to illegally trespass and inspect the inside of my home AFTER being asked repeatedly to leave. They proceeded to stand in the city sidewalk easement and tell war stories about the drug dealers they had busted, vehicles they has chased, and even had the time to discuss one of their grandmother's driving issues. They laughed boisterously, and disturbed the peace in my neighborhood. We could easily hear them from inside the house. When I decided to call and make a complaint with dispatch, she said she couldn't tell me any badge numbers or file a complaint, but placed me on hold, I assume, to radio the disrespectful officers that someone was complaint about them. I went out back to make sure our vehicles were locked and security lights on while still on the phone. One of the officers was creeping down the alley, then saw me and sped off in excess of 40 mph. I felt harrased, embarrassed, and enraged. The next morning I called again to try and get information and badge numbers. Officer Eric Lenox, badge #11679, told me what i said makes no sense and that wouldn't happen. I repeatedly asked for help, and he denied me. He wouldn't give me his last name or badge number by choice, or after the third time asked. When he finally did, he was so unhappy with me he hung up. I then had to call a "special team of investigators" from the compliment/complaint department to TRY and get officer information and file a formal complaint. I got nowhere, fast! I still have not been able to get any information, or file a complaint. The process for a lawful citizen to file a complaint is unrealistic, time consuming and only purpose is explicitly stated to protect the officer from the citizen, and you WILL be fined or imprisoned if your complaint is decided in any way false or misleading. I could easily download the compliment form, but the COMPLAINT form is "corrupted/unable to open file". I thought I was going to fall over from laughter and irony. I was left with no choice but to vent here, where we will not be heard. Our neighbors were broken into a week before- I hope they received better services. Not a thirty minute response time, being treated as a perpetrator, and denied the right to say no. Furthermore, there is a yearly fee in plano for security system registration and services. I pay taxes only to be charged bogus fees to fatten the pockets of our molesters who take their time to do their jobs, and treat everyone as a suspect. I would like to note that I am a white American country boy with long hair, so race doesn't matter here- I was criminally profiled for the way I look and for the assertion of my god given birth rights, per our declaration and constitution, in the United States of America. So don't worry and breed racial injustice, as we will all become victims to the militarization of our police and their scare tactics. From now on, I will be carrying a notepad and recording any encounter with north texas law enforcement. Stop hiring childish awfulsirs (officers) for a serious task. Nobody called you, and you were told we are fine, please leave. Don't overstep your authority, and play cops and robbers at every call. It only furthers the degradation of the necessary unity between law enforcement and the community. Thank you for taking time from voicing your opinions to read about my unproffessional, negative experience with the Plano Police Department.
