Titus Swan Review of Waterfront Learning (aiu3)

I Found The Head Start Program to Be Nothing More Than Glorified Daycare. My Son Was In Attendance For Over Half The Year Last Year, And Honestly I Can't Pinpoint More Than 3 Things He "Learned" He Went On Elsewhere Due To A Move Out Of State, And In 3 Months The Results Outweighed What The AIU Got In 6 Months. The Staff Inside The Head Start Classroom Did The Best They Could With The Tools They Had, So I Have No Complaints Against Them Personally. However The People Outside The Classroom Were Terrible. Instead Of Listen, And Take Into Account All The Factors At Play They Consistently Dismissed My Input Whilst Only Pushing Their Agenda. When Push Came To Shove (My Girlfriend Who Is A Special Education Certified Pre School Teacher) Got Involved It Was Not Long Before They Put In Motion The Most Bold And Outright Inexcusable Tactic I Have Ever Seen. They Literally Told Me My Son Was Not Allowed To Be There Without An Adult Present, And Trust Me While My Son Is Not Perfect, He Was FAR From The Most Ill Behaved Child In The Class. I Was Forced To Take My Grievance To The State Level, At Which Time The AIU Did A Complete 360 Degree Turn Around In A Matter Of Days. Not Only That But They Were Very Obvious In Their Attempt To Say "We Never Said Your Son Could NOT Be Here" Well The Exact Quote Went Like This: AIU STAFF MEMBER: "From Here Out, If An Adult Can Not Accompany Your Son To Class, He Will Not Be Welcome Here" Me: So If I Can't Have An Adult Here Thursday, He Won't Be Able To Come? AIU STAFF MEMBER: "Yes, That Is Correct, He Has To Have An Adult With Him From Here Out" Show Me A Lawyer, Judge, Or Legal Analyst Who Can Decipher How That Is NOT What It Means, And I'll Personally Apologize In Writing In The Post Gazette On A Full Page Ad. I'd Personally Suggest Sticking With A Private Pre School, At Least There Your Child Will Learn Something.
