My problem with BMW has little to do with the car ...

My problem with BMW has little to do with the car itself but the extended warranty I purchased. On 12/31/2014, I purchased a BMW 6 year / 100K mile Powertrain Plus warranty from Advantage BMW for my 2015 435 Gran Coupe. Ever since my standard bumper-to-bumper warranty expired, this extended warranty has been nothing, but problems for me and the dealership. The reasons are numerous:
1. Nobody can tell me what I am actually covered for! When I purchased the warranty I was given a brochure for what my Powertrain Plus covered. Ever since then people can only tell me what my Powertrain Plus doesn t cover much to the confusion of me and my dealership
2. From experience, I know that it doesn t cover and oil temp sensor, an oil gasket, the MAF sensor or the intake manifold. The first two failed last year and my dealer thought I was covered, fixed them, and then they got stuck with the bill when they weren t. They literally had to hand me the keys to the vehicle with no paperwork since they couldn t process the claim. This year the last two items failed and I was told they weren t covered either so I had to pay for them out my own pocket. I have a new name for my coverage: PowerTrain MINUS .
3. My BMW is no help at all. Under the warranty information page for my specific car, it shows me all my coverages and when they began and end including my extended warranty, but the extended warranty has no name listed. It s just blank (Now expired, but still has no name show in attached photo). I called BMW North America to complain and they couldn t tell me what I was covered for either, what my warranty was good for, or what any of their Powertrain Plus warranties were good for. The customer service rep was not allowed to provide me information and told me to google what my Powertrain Plus warranty should covered. I had already done that multiple times and all the items listed above should have been covered per the google results. NA told me that my dealer would be following up with me
4. The communication has been awful. Advantage BMW was supposed to get back with me, but didn t. NA put little effort into resolving the issue themselves.
I could not be more disappointed with the service. No one can answer my questions. It s just one big waste of time. I m now driving an Audi S4 and loving every moment of it. I don t see myself stepping into a BMW again. My European delivery was a blast. Well it looks like program is over and so is decent customer service.
