Went in search of a gin martini in Springfield rec...

Went in search of a gin martini in Springfield recently. Stopped in on a Monday around noon and sat at the bar. Maxi was the bartender and I asked if she could make me a Tanqueray martini, stir don't shake. She said yes and proceeded to mix the cocktail. Noticing that she didn't add vermouth, I asked if she was going to do that and she said "you want vermouth?". Uh...yeah...it's a martini. What resulted was wonderful. Maxi can make a great martini. She also sold me on the rubin sandwich, which was quite tasty. Terrific place when you're searching for a good martini in Springfield, Missouri.
