Your checked bags needs to be on the belt 45 minutes before your flight or they can not guarantee that it will make it on the plane. Check your airlines luggage limit some are under 40 pounds. TSA can take a while even during non peek hours. Multiple airlines now make you check your carry on at the gate. This is to allow faster loading and unloading of the aircraft; it is a cost cutting measure. Laptop and carry on bag were damaged because they were not packed to go in the cargo hold.
