I like the half mat/half grass system this year. People need to tame their expectations. It s a great place for kids and beginners to learn the game and pricing is reasonable. If you re intermediate to low handicap don t expect quality balls or grass like a nice golf club. I would say it s time for some new balls. Most are so beaten up they are almost smooth with no dimpling. I ve always felt the grass could be much better after having done this exact work when I was 20. Most importantly using a front to back system with the hitting area and re-seeding. Often it seems the ropes move forward thus everyone trampled on the seeded parts. Staff could be more thorough with dumping/spreading soil.
