Probably one of the worst airports I have ever had...

Probably one of the worst airports I have ever had the misfortune to use. Our flight was delayed by bad weather - not the fault of the airport, but from then on the announcements were ridiculous. We were herded into the departure area - you cannot call it a lounge - where hundreds of stranded passengers wandered aimlessly around hoping that someone at the other end of the tannoy might give them some clue as to what was happening. The gate numbers changed periodically, either because the staff wanted to stop people becoming too bored or frustrated, or because it was time to clean that particular gate area. The 11.05 departure time slipped from 11.05 to 12.45, to 13.30, back to 12.40 and finally settled at 13.33. Staff kept trying to chase those lucky passengers who had had the foresight to either not go through passport control, or like us had wandered, by chance through an open gate, to go through passport control by saying the flight was boarding. This, even though the flight had not even landed.
I have no problem with flights being delayed, that is just bad luck, but I do have a problem with the sort of chaos I experienced today, caused by unprofessional staff who need to be given a good long course in customer relations and the management of large crowds of people.
