I always like to visit Waterston 's. Amazon may be cheaper, but you can't browse and there is no one to help you find what you want. It's a shame that the Internet and our desire for a bargain is quietly forcing shops like these out of business.

Located in 'The Arcade' this is a typical example of this chain with a very wide range to choose from for all tastes and well laid out. The staff are typically friendly and helpfuland know their business. A lady here went to great lengths to help me find the book I wanted and arrange for me to collect it.

There is also a pleasant coffee/tea area for a relaxing cake and cuppa.
