I might despair sometimes about the state of our politics but I can't fault the House itself. Its airy brightness and the sincere passion of all its staff renews my sense of optimism in democracy. So awesome to see such important documents of national significance like Australia's Apology to its Indigenous Peoples. Don't miss out on the free guided tour (thanks Marie!) or the walk on the rooftop that reminds us as ever that the people stand above the parliament. And if you need a sweetener after all the politics, the cafe serves a mean coffee and cassis pannacotta.
