A long time favorite, having been coming here for as long as I can remember!

My parents live in Venice, so this is one of the seafood / beach places we have as a "must go" when we visit. A few years ago, Sharkey's seemed to slip a little in food and service, but the last few, things have been honed in.

For our last visit, it was just the four of us, and we came about 1/2 hour before the sunset on a Friday. A point of reference, they seem to do groups of less than 6 very well, but we've had issues when we had larger groups in previous years. This visit, we were seated promptly, in maybe 15 minutes even though we were told 20-30 when we were handed our buzzer. This was a pleasant surprise, given the our of our visit.

Our server was fantastic! He was upbeat, attentive, and thorough. He made us feel welcomed, made sure we had drinks, and came back for our orders. He helped us navigate the menu, and offered suggestions based on what we were looking for. After we ordered, he made sure we had what we needed, and that our drinks were never empty.

The food was fantastic! I tried a Boathouse Salad with salmon, and it was both a generous portion, and perfectly prepared down to the fish. So often, the piece of fish added to salads can be almost an afterthought, but this was truly created to be a great dish. My wife's scallops were excellent, and our bruschetta was both unique and to be on a short list of items to order. Theirs is made on one larger piece of bread, instead of the smaller slices typically used. This was only different, and the quality of the bread seemed to be fresh baked.

Prices were fair for a good restaurant with one of the best sunsets in Venice, along the Venice Fishing Pier. Come here to enjoy some music on weekends, as well!
