The Sharaton Grand Phoenix has a nice modern asthetic, two bars with excellent bartenders, fine dining, and rooms that are very welcoming. The service-people were kind and courteous. The woman who checked me in helped me greatly by taking off a charge that I would've had to pay because of a mixup from my college, who booked everything for my travel to Phoenix.

Two complaints I have that keep my review from having 5 stars are a little nit-picky, but after a couple of days became a little annoying.

The two sets of elavators were finicky, in that you had to use your room key to use the elavators. This wouldn't necessarily be such a problem if using your room key worked every time you had to go from floor level to floor level. Most of the time I had to work in tandem with other guests using their room keys to eventually get to my floor level. In fact I went from the ground floor, all the way up to the top floor, then all the way back down to the ground floor because my key wouldn't work. This is a problem I hope the Sheraton addresses.

My other gripe is that WiFi isn't free. Yet, I've been to plenty smaller hotels that offer free, high speed internet. As entitled as it sounds, its something that I think would really make patrons and guests feel more appreciated, and certainly help those watching their mobile data.
