Grew up on the farm from 1944. Till 1950.My parents C W BIRCH &
Mrs E A BIRCH Were there till they retired some years later. Growing up on the farm was great and to be associated with Dr McMeekan and Mr M J CAMPBELL was something to be hold. My brother (Sir William Birch) Bill and myself enjoyed the social side of the sports club ,Been able to play tennis & cricket.The first year or so mother was their cook come what may at the Home stead which catered for some 20 plus men,the homestead to us kids was like living a dream
The memories I have of living at Ruakura are vast too many to tell in such a short space of time .WALTER BIRCH
