Last year I wrote a review about a mouse that was in my 2 bedroom townhouse and how my brother had to assist the maintenance man in catching the mouse. Well due to last years incident they gave me a comp stay good for 1yr. I visited kings creek again and needless to say they need some serious help!!! My stay was from June 1st-4th and this time my siblings along with our parents stayed at the resort. Everything was good until day 2, they all rented their own cottages which suited the size and need of their family's comfort. My mother and father had a 1 bedroom which was adjoined to my brothers 2 bedroom cottage and my sister had her own 1 bedroom cottage as well. Day 2 I walked into my brother's cottage and it was a strong odor of gas in the cottage. I quickly called the front desk and with 10 mins a maintenance staff member showed up. He advised that he could smell it from the stairs leading into the cottage and quickly turned off the gas to the fireplace in the living room. I advise my parents as to what was going on and that they should get out as the gas was that strong. My brother and his wife had a tour that was scheduled that morning at 9am. I contacted the manager Ms king and told her what was going on, I was at the outdoor pool with my brothers kids and my child when I got a call back from Ms King advising since I had a comp stay they would not be refunding my brother or parents any money. This highly upset me as my mother is older, and has various health issues to begin with. After an hr I drove to the main office and Wanda Penn who is President of Operations was behind the desk. This woman is rude, mor friendly and doesn't know the meaning of customer service. She was loud and tried to berate me until other guest started to show up in the lobby and asked if I would follow her to her office. There she was nasty rude and wouldn't let me speak, when I left her office she followed me to the front door advising I could feel free to make a complaint. As I left i saw my brother and his wife getting in the golf cart to tour the properties, I advised him what just happened and the lady driving the cart was upset that I was telling him what was going on while other people were on the same tour and cart. She stopped at the office and called the police on me!! The cops came as they said they were called because they received a complaint about disorderly conduct on the property. I told the cops what transpired and they got the key from my sister in law to visit their cottage. Once there they too were overwhelmed by the odor of gas. Needless to say the cops called the fire dept not management!!!! While all this was transpiring Wanda nor Ms King contacted my brother or father to advise they were getting another unit ready for them 2hrs and 45 mins my mom sat in the car. Once the police arrived they had another u it ready within 20 mins. In the midst of this I promptly emailed Kevin Jones as he's one of the owner's of this resort so far no email or phone call returned. Wanda and Ms King are horrible and took what could of been a trip that killed my brother and parents extremely light. Money a comp stay cannot replace the value of life or a loved one. I will never stay at this place ever again. I would advise anyone who reads this not to stay there either.
