A timeless place to discover in a chronological journey the artists and the currents, the periods that built Dutch art. The contemporary is always there, in small subtle and well orchestrated touches, in the middle of the old.
The Jan Steel exhibit is a gem. I am very sensitive to the scenography and it was at the meeting (I will say no more)
The free download application allows you to punctuate the visit, when you wish, and enhance it with very interesting comments (appreciable anecdotes)
Finally the place, at the entrance, is a mixture of modern, without altering the old as I have discovered elsewhere in Rotterdam. It is beautiful and engaging with respect for the noble materials of yesteryear.
I do not even speak of the reception: staff smiling, friendly, warm and who takes all the time necessary to discuss, curious of where we come from and with a little advice on visits to do.
