Well, first, I can't help wondering how many of those no-comment, 5-star reviews are legitimate...especially the one posted by someone named "IC Catholic Prep Admissions." Hmm.
I attended then-ICHS all four years of high school, graduating with honors and no behavior record of any kind. Now, as a parent of three, would I consider sending my own children to ICCP? Absolutely never. Why? For starters, there are the administrators (and teachers in their clique) who control students with temper tantrums and sadism rather than true leadership skills. Then there's the Catholic identity (or, rather, lack thereof). When I attended, theology was only taught for one semester per year for juniors and seniors - and then it wasn't even Scripture or Catechism, but just superficial things like carrying a dressed-up egg around or planning out the cost of our future wedding (as if marriage is everyone's vocation). Finally, the social development fostered there left a lot to be desired. Granted, there's no serious bullying problem at ICCP the way there is at ICGS (where I attended for my entire elementary and middle school education and would also never send my own children to), but it's still a very "cliquey" school - not just among the students but, as mentioned, among the staff as well.
I'm a huge supporter of Catholic education, but from my experience, if I had it to do over I would have attended one of the other Catholic high schools in the area.
