What a great way to see the island if you have the time. Tim at Big island was incredibly helpful with finding places to visit while I was building my 2-day ride and got me on the road in less than 30 minutes.

The island is so diverse and because of this you need to be prepared for quick climate changes. You could be in the sun and sweating one moment and then a turn later it's 20-30 degrees colder and overcast (it never rained on me but it was threatening several times).

So be sure to grab a jacket and gloves - and helmet - to help fight the cold. And enjoy!
