We don t recommend this ranch at all and have already told others about our bad experience. We had reservations and plans for 5 days at this all-inclusive resort for over three months. We originally had other plans but saw Devils Thumb online and it seemed perfect. We had numerous phone calls for making reservations and changes to scheduled activities and mentioned the all-inclusive part multiple times. We arrived and had a horse ride planned out right away, which was great, only to be surprised with a charge at the end that wasn t anticipated. We were informed at the stable that we weren t all-inclusive, but they assured us it was a booking mistake and it would get figured out in the morning when the manager arrived. We continued with the daily plans and had to explain the situation each time when it came to charges. We ended the night with a mediocre dinner at the Ranch House. We met with the manager the next morning and she informed us we didn t select the right package and the only thing we could do was just pay more than double our original price. We tried to offer a compromise by changing out a cabin to a different room, but the manager was extremely cold and uncompromising. She stated that they were fully booked but based on what we saw, and the other employees statements the place was a ghost town. The whole experience was terrible, and we left after only one night. To top it off we never received and invoice for what we ended up paying for until we called requesting it. To our surprise we had an additional charge for two drinks that somehow came out to over $100. The charge was dropped but only after another phone call where the account person hung up on us. The views and accommodations don t make up for the terrible experience.
