My Husband and I rode our bikes from our home in Rockford, we were not aware you needed to have a reservation. The hostess greeted us and asked if we had a reservation and we told her we did not. The hostess informed us the options she had for us were to stand at a barrel outside or go to the bar. We stepped outside to stand at a barrel (mind you the hostess said there were green chairs by the fire pit as well, none were available people had removed them and they were being used at other tables). After standing uncomfortably at a barrel and observing three outside tables that were empty but not cleaned, we again went inside to inquire with the Hostess if indeed we could have an outside table? She just looked at us like we had three heads and said nothing was available and we could go to the bar. The bar was full. We didn't want to stand at a barrel. The hostess did not offer us an option to wait for a table. We informed her we would just leave then if nothing was available and she pretty nonchalantly shrugged her shoulders and said "ok, sorry"
Wow! Terrible service. If you go here make sure you make a reservation. We rode back to Rockford and went to Rockford Brewing Company where we immediately received a warm welcome, a table, great food and excellent service. Lesson learned. Don't go to a new place without looking at the website first, however, I am very surprised that a new business would not be more welcoming to a customer. Won't go back.
