I was very disappointed in brunch at Madison Socia...

I was very disappointed in brunch at Madison Social. I have had dinner and drinks there before and was very excited to try their brunch with a friend. The Nutella Pizza was okay, some pieces were very crisp and others were very chewy... It was difficult to eat and we were not given small plates to keep the crumbs/pieces of pizza from covering the table. Our entrees came out and we're placed on top of the Nutella pizza mess.

I ordered the Fancy Toast. The description reads "chocolate-battered french toast with house-made berry butter". My french toast did not look or taste as if any chocolate was used with it. It tasted like regular french toast with berry butter. I took a few bites and got to the middle of a piece of toast to find it uncooked. You could see it was saturated with egg and appeared soggy. I showed it to my server and asked to have it sent back. I said I would like a new one and she further asked if I'd rather try a different item which I refused, I wanted what I had ordered but fully cooked. She left and did not come back for 20+ minutes. When she returned without my order and asked if we wanted anything else I was shocked. I asked where my meal was and to take it off my bill if it was not ready. She told me she thought I meant I did not want anything. I looked at my friend who said she believed I had communicated to her I wanted another order of the same meal. The waitress also told me the French Toast was the way it was served to me because it was made with a custard base. I truly believe my food was undercooked. I wish she had explained the reason for the soggy toast earlier so that I could have ordered a different meal. The waitress offered to get my order to go but after being there for almost an hour and a half I was frustrated and done waiting.

I understand people make mistakes but I was very disappointed a manager did not come to apologize or clear up anything. I appreciate the server's honesty in her mistake but I left very disappointed and hungry....
