The dry cleaners that I normally use for alterations closed. In the next shopping center is Alexander s that has been a local business forever. I didn t know that the business had changed ownership. I didn t want to take a TJMaxx dress to D&B Tailors so I took a chance with Alexander s. It was a dress I was wearing to my stepson s wedding in a week. I needed the arm holes made smaller ($30). I picked it up and didn t try it on right away. When I did, I found one arm hole seam to have a wad of material gathered at the seam under the armpit and the dress was visibly pulling under the arms and across the chest. The other side was was sewn unevenly and the material was also pulling and creating gaps. It was unwearable. I m very lucky that I had another option to wear but I had bought all of the accessories and shoes to go with this dress. I won t be bringing my business to Alexander s in the future.
