The RAC is very much a posh old boys club, with the usual pomp and dress codes you'd expect from such an establishment. Whilst it feels like stepping into a past era, their facilities are also much better than some of the other clubs on Pall Mall as they have a pool in the basement and a beautiful outside terrace for summer wining and dining. The library is an excellent spot to get some quiet work done - it does get a bit chilly in the winter but staff can usually be cajoled into lighting the fires for you.

If you've never crossed the threshold, you should sniff out a member for an invite to dinner sometime - it's worth going once for the experience.
