I bought this policy 10 years ago for my husband who is 20 years my senior. We have a teenage daughter 18 and a pre-teen son who is 11. My husband went into the hospital a day before our wedding anniversary and 10 days later he is dead. At the beginning of the quarantine and he was the first person close to me to die, I had to take care of things I knew nothing about. We didn't pre-plan; but, I knew I had this policy. I had to talk with the funeral home and cemetery. I didn't want to be taken by my emotions; and they want payment before services. I couldn't wait for a death certificate (vital records are swamped with so many people dying so fast). I informed Lincoln Heritage of the death of my husband while I was in the cemetery office. I signed contracts for the assignment with their fees. The personnel at the cemetery commented on how good Lincoln Heritage is, which eased my mind. I never heard anything else from Lincoln Heritage. Everything was covered. I received the death certificate after he was buried for 22 days.
