Please read this original review before it is deleted by the college .This is the worst college for engineering.The college is built on false reputation and much older reviews . The orientations were showing placements occuring 20 years ago and they have changed the dates to fool you. Only children who want to ruin there lives choose this college especially for mechanical engineering. I just managed to prevent myself from committing suicide for 4 years. I got no job for 2 years (not because i was incompetent or a bad student and you can read below why)I CAN SUMMARIZE MY EXPERIENCE UNDER THE FOLLOWING HEADS. please read them if you do not want to ruin your life. Me and my friends have honestly suffered a lot of mental trauma and the teachers had a huge role to play.
TEACHING AND CURRICULUM-The teachers don't know how to teach or even speak basic English. Most of them teach in kannada which can't be understood by 90%of the students including NRI's ofcourse. I am a pass out of 2014 batch. But the machines are as old as my grandfather's age and world war 2 i.e. 70 years old. We were never taught any modern techniques or how to work with machines that would actually be useful today. The curriculum was never revised despite the fact that it is the duty of the college itself . This college has forced our batch and many previous batches to become incompetent engineers even though we wanted to learn and do so much.
TEACHERS- The teachers are highly arrogant and a lot of power is given to them so they can fail any child they like, mess with the grades for as long as they want, and destroy the grades in our marksheet for all 4 years. Some of the teachers don't know EVEN 7TH STANDARD PHYSICS. YES THAT'S TRUE. And if you argue they will fail you. If you question they fail you . If you ask doubts they never answer.They only favour girls.(if any by chance in ur class) the ppt was newly made with old syllabus at our time. But now for the 2019 batch its older content and older ppt(75yr old content)
Its compulsory to fill the online feedback form with GOOD reviews or else they'll fail you if you try to complain.
PLACEMENT-
THERE WERE 1 OR 2 PLACEMENT FROM OUR BATCH OF 240 STUDENTS AND THAT IS SUCH A HUGE NO. BECAUSE THE NEXT BATCH HAD 0 PLACEMENTS. AND THE TEACHERS ARE PROUD ABOUT THE FACT THAT NOBODY GETS PLACED BECAUSE THEY DELIBERATELY MADE INCOMPETENCE AND DEAD ENGINEERS !! they destroy your learning and skills totally
CAMPUS - walls are not painted,the campus was green at my time but as of this year according to my brother who is still in the college,all the greenery has disappeared and replaced by many buildings for law and architecture. ( for which this college might have got sanctioned for)
LAB AND LAB STAFF-the lab assistants dont know anything neither do the lab incharges but their ego is unmatchable. Neither do they speak proper English/hindi. If you try to learn new techniques and methods and try to work on them they wont let you(they never give permission neither do they guide you). You cant use the 1or 2 modern machines or even the old ones for most of your work. No project is even encouraged or funded.
1 or 2 modern machines are only for display when govt officials come for inspections and that day all the children are given a holiday specifically so that we cant speak up.
HOSTELS-

But the IH hostels are good.
This is just a brief description but the reality ofcourse. If you dont believe ask a student from our college and you will know
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING IN THIS COLLEGE IS THE WORST IDEA. ITS BETTER TO DROP OR PURSUE ANOTHER COURSE.
I am writing this review now as my brother is facing even more tougher time.
