Pretty good place! I had the linguine bolognese and although it wasn t spectacular, it got the job done. The pasta was cooked well, but the sauce was very light, so the dish wasn t very flavorful. The fried calamari was also good, but it wasn t anything special either. I had a side of mashed potatoes, and they were tasty, but I have a feeling they weren t very fresh. I did happen to really like the ocean themed dish that my meal came in, though! I thought that the dynamic of the place was a little strange; there was a bar space with a few surrounding tables, as well as a dining room. This definitely isn t unusual in the city, but it felt a bit too cramped for this to be happening. Overall, it was a good dinner, but don t expect outstanding things from here. Oh, it is the oldest bar in continuous operation in NYC, which I thought was a pretty cool thing.
