We took the morning Kayak trip with Kayak Shak and then walked over the Bayside Cafe.
This seemingly small place is just below the Morro Bay State Park Museum and shares a parking lot with a newly dedicated kayak launch and the State Park marina.
They offer an outdoor patio and every inside table has a view of the marina and bay.
We go for lunch, usually on of the many delicious sandwiches which come with fries or soup or salad or slaw.
The slaw is fabulous, they will not give out the recipe, saying it is an old family secret.
The menu is quite extensive, with appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, Mexican dishes, and a kid's menu. They provide a good local wine list, and numerous beers along with the usual sodas and tea.
Great atmosphere, prices, and food! One of the best lunch options in Morro Bay.
