I have the HTC u11 plus. After having it for 2 years and dropping it many times, the back glass panel finally cracked when I dropped it on concrete.

I called around (in Australia, because I was there at the time) to see if anyone can fix the glass back panel. I was quoted about $90 AUD. However, they couldn t guarantee the water proof ability (the phone was designed to be water proof) will remain.

So, I called HTC s service department in TaoYuan. They told me it will take a maximum of 3 days to fix and costed me about $1700 NTD. Not only was it cheaper, they also could guarantee the water proof ability remains.

Of course I came to Taiwan to get it fixed (but also came for a holiday). The service lady (Ms Wu) was very patient and understanding (because my Chinese wasn t that great). She got me to sign off a form (describing the issue) and listing my contact details.

Within a few hours of leaving, she tried to contact me to ask if I wanted to have my battery and charging port fixed too (because they tested everything and found other issues). When I finally called them back about it (the next day), I told them that I didn t realize there were those issues (thought my phone was working well) and fixing the glass panel is all I need.

So she got the back panel organized. She said I can pick it up the next day (this was day 2 of the 3 days limit). However, since I was on my holiday too, I asked her if I could pick it up a few days later. She said no problem .

A few days later, I went in for my phone. She made sure I checked it worked and I was happy with it before I signed off the form. Then I paid for the service.

Not only did HTC fix my phone, they also have me a new phone case! Which was great because I was thinking of getting a new case anyway.
Andd not only was I gifted a new case, they also gave me a brand new charging wire!
Finally, they alsooo gifted me a screen wipe cloth!

Realizing I had a bunch of things to carry, Ms Wu also gave me a bag to hold everything in it.

I really appreciate the level of service HTC offered me during my time with them this time round.
I fully intend to stick with HTC products in the future. Definitely buying directly from Taiwan too. Better service and get a bunch of free stuff.
