the only pros i cant think of is that if you go to this school, there is a decent anti-bullying standard because all of these children know each other and are decent to each other. i go to this school, in the middle school building and have gone here since k-5. the teachers are just a bunch of underpaid adults trying to get kids in the room, out the room. occasionally, you will find a teacher who actually wants to help you. that doesnt happen often though. i would say that the dress code is very reasonable. limited tank tops, no short-shorts, no mid-drifts, all reasonable. though this year, at the assembly discussing the rules with the current principle, they ONLY included dress code rules for the girls, no rules were given for the males. the curriculum is reasonable for what ive seen other schools doing, though they do not give you an option (if your child met gifted standards, and are qualified to be put in advanced classes) to NOT have your child in the harder classes. this school automatically puts children in harder classes, which might seem reasonable but i and many others have been put into gifted classes and would have done better in standard classes. advanced classes brush by topics, and do not explain them to the extent the regular classes get. lets change topics, and talk about the pick up lines and drop off lines. insane. the elementary lines can take 10-20 minutes to get through at times. in elementary, they have an amazing environment for the children, and they did a good job with that. in the middle school, they throw you into this environment with terrible overworked adults, with a terrible backed up counselor (WHICH IF YOU SHOW SIGNS, YOU CANNOT REFUSE THE COUNSLER) , and give the children insane amounts of assignments.. please, for your children, pick a different school. some students EXCELL here, some break. its so sugar coated, when thats not the case. it never was the case. short break time leave kids exhausted, and the teachers leave them with no confidence and a 7 page essay in the 5th grade. it gets worse as you go up and up the grades with stricter teachers, and no resources to get help
