Very beautiful property. The complaint I really have is communication with the guests is fairly lacking. A couple examples: we went to the fireworks show last night. It was great. We cut out a bit early to beat the crowds to the elevators. We hopped on with a few other families and started up. As soon as the doors closed, the fire alarm went off. We got the elevator stopped at the 16th floor, then all carried our toddlers down 16 flights of stairs. The only employee we encountered was asked if we should be concerned and he replied that he didn't know but he needed to get back to work. We finally got to the bottom and went through several employees before finding one that dismissed our worries and said it was because of smoke from the fireworks. No one seemed too concerned, but no one was really telling guests what was going on. It was almost surreal to see everyone just acting like the fire alarms weren't going off. We came to bring our toddler to the splash pad. It's raining off and on, which is certainly not the hotel's fault, but we have no way (that we've been told) of knowing when and why the pool areas will be open, or even what the backup plan is when we noticed some of the attractions had moved inside. It seems like in 2018, an updated social media presence would make planning our day easier. When we finally figured out the pool areas were closed for the night, we decided to just watch a show in our room after dinner. Would have been fine, except the TV didn't work. We told the front desk and went to dinner. Came back and it was still broken. Called the front desk and the guy that showed said he didn't know how to work the new boxes that were installed. As he was just turning it off and back on, I figured we would probably just watch a movie on my laptop. But the internet wasn't working either. When I asked him if it was down, he just said probably and went back to the remote. Finally decided to remove the box and put it back on, which seemed to fix it. There has been a couple other odd things. Just don't be afraid to ask anyone and everyone until you get an answer. It's a huge place, and everyone's knowledge base seems limited to their own task and no other. It really is an okay place. We have two nights and days left here. I was asked to review this through Google opinion rewards. Without that I likely would have waited (or not reviewed at all). Excited to see what tomorrow brings!
