Summary: You get what you pay for. So called discounted pricing is actually inline with ordinary market prices. Marketing of their alleged performance of their shared hosting product I feel is questionable.

As part of a site move, signed up with a number of providers to evaluate their performance. Used A2 Shared hosting Turbo+ with Performance Plus add on @ $7 per month (Black Friday Deal) hosted in Singapore drawn in by their up to x20 faster marketing. Extensive Testing despite having all the Optimizations enabled revealed it to be fairly consistently 25% slower than a $5 Digital Ocean VPS droplet also hosted in Singapore.

Attempts to deploy their A2 Optimized Wordpress plugin caused WP to crash during testing and evaluation. Similarly, installed a fresh new WordPress installation to test and enabling the A2 Optimized plugin also crashed it in about 3 out of 5 test runs. Seems having Memcache enabled at the same time will make it particularly prone to crashing. Feels a bit Mickey Mouse.

Not pleased reading about the anytime refund terms. If you request a refund after the initial 30 day period, they will re-bill you at the regular rate and then give you what s left. I think given what I ve assessed with at least their shared hosting product, the regular rate prices is in my mind expensive for what is offered.

Have since requested a refund under the 30 day full refund policy which to their credit, they have since honoured. Unfortunately, can t see myself utilising the full 3 year prepaid period with them. You get what you pay for. Their so called special pricing I feel is actually in line with ordinary market pricing, at least for their shared hosting product
