The fish was very good, especially the mackerel, anago and sawani. I normally do not like ikura and oysters however they were excellent here. Why the low rating then? Two reasons. One, the rice prepared for our meal did not hold together as well as other sushi restaurants and made eating the sushi a clumsy affair. Sushi is rice as chef yasuda(he went back to Japan a few years back) would say and subpar rice certainly harms the taste of the meal. Two, we had the omakase and our chef charged us for a few sushi pieces we did not eat which is absolutely unacceptable at any restaurant let alone a Michelin rated location. The omakase is not a set number of pieces so you should keep count of what you eat. In summary, sushi yasuda serves good fish but the subpar rice and overbilling ruins the experience.
