Juvi Guevara Review of The Banana Store, Restaurant, ...

If you want the full experience of fine dining after an afternoon at the local museums and galleries, look no farther. This fancy restaurant is situated on the 8th floor of the OXO building just a short walk from the Tate Modern gallery. It's also right next to a charming little park where you get a full view of the wharf and all those gorgeous Victorian-style buildings across the way.
Despite the typical London chill, I would recommend sitting outside so you can have a lovely view while you munch on pricey bites and sip on even pricier booze. Speaking of booze, you have your pick of the litter. But being an adventurous drinker and eater myself I always like trying something a little different, so I went with their Vanilla Chocolate Malt which is made with Vanilla Vodka, Almond Milk, a Mozart Dark Chocolate spirit, Vanilla Sugar, and Malted Milk. Yes, it's amazing.
I wanted to feel fancy too though, so I tried their Mushrooms on Toast with a Goat's Cheese Mousse. I have to be honest, it was pretty underwhelming, but points for health value.
Their entree menu is super small, but pretty well-rounded. You have a few salads, like the Quinoa and Beetroot salad with Cashew Cream; Batterd Fish and Chips; a Beef Burger with all the trimmings; and pasta dish to round it all out. If you come during the brunch hours on the weekend, they offer an English Breakfast plate, Waffles and Bacon, and Eggs Benedict.
Again, you will probably pay a hefty sum for all this, but the view alone is worth it.
