This is a gem all around. To start the service is attentive in just the right amounts. They are friendly and know their menu well to be able to make suggestions.

I didn't get to try the cocktails but they looked great and the people drinking them really seemed to be enjoying them. The food was where everything came together. We tried almost all the appetizers. Some had a kick but not too much, others had a citrus focus. They use fruit as a sweetener for the shrimp avocado. The beansprouts were crispy on the outside like they'd been tanned on a tropical beach all day but firm on the inside. They had a little kick that was just right. The Crab cakes tasted like they used fresh crabs and the tarter sauce that came with it was a little spicy too which was with the accompanying salad.

Lastly, the ambiance was just the right amount of Oakland. There wasn't a stuffy feeling about the place. It was complemented by the staff which all had their own look. The experience was really nice and I'm sure this will start to be one of our go to restaurants.
