Lombardi's Pizza, the 1st pizzaria in America. It was even featured on TV, so it must be great, right? Not really. I came in and the restaurant was pretty full. The hostess stressed over and over that food isn't served at the bar. Luckily, I was quickly seated. The restaurant has two dining areas, separated by the kitchen. The pizzas are just alright but too expensive. I was more blown away by the prices instead of the taste of the pizza. I ordered the small traditional cheese pizza for $20. The sause could've used more flavor and there was more of it than the cheese. Extra cheese would've been another $4. To put things in perspective, I was able to eat the small pizza by myself. If you come in a group, the price starts to add up fast or people might walk away still hungry.

I did like the atmosphere, and the staff made sure I was okay many times but without the feeling of being rushed. There are many places in the city to get cheaper, better tasting pizza or you can come here to say you ate at America's 1st pizzaria.
