When I first went to Bideawee, several years ago, I did so because I believed they cared about animals and offered affordable vet care for those who needed it. I had two Persian cats, one I bought 11 years ago when I was still working, the other one, a show cat Persian, I rescued. I am a senior living on mostly social security, with a small savings. I took my two cats there for shots and checkups. The adopted cat stopped eating and I took her to Bidawee. Ms. Parr, gave her $350 worth of tests, then told me the cat had a high white blood cell count, and a temperature of 92 extremely low. She said she was going on vacation, and to take the cat to the Animal Hospital at 62nd and FDR Drive. They made me sign a paper stating their triage care would cost $650. I signed it because I love my little cat. Less than an hour later, they told me my cat was eaten up with cancer and in pain. She needed to be put down then and there. I was devastated, and they were kind to me. Unlike Ms Parr, who if she is any kind of vet, should have know what was wrong. If she had let me know what was wrong, I would have taken my baby home to die instead of putting her through another round of the same tests, to die in pain. This woman doesn't care about animals or people.
