Living the dream

My husband and son brought me through the ER on 8/...

My husband and son brought me through the ER on 8/27/2019. We waited a short time to be called up to the desk to check in. The lady at the desk was calm and polite. The lady asking questions and taking vitals was also calm, polite, and seemed to know the right questions to ask to understand my level of pain. I had severe back pain on my left side that radiated down my left leg , to my knee, and foot. I could not walk. We knew ahead of time that there could be at least an hour wait. (my son googled it) I was brought back within that hour and was evaluated by a nurse who asked lots of questions, took it all down in her computer, and sent it to the PA. Kyle Fjerstad the PA, met with us, and based on my symptoms, suggested a course of treatment. First, and most important to me, they treated my pain. I really appreciate the fact that Kyle listened to me when I told him I don't tolerate heavy pain medications very well. He said he would start me out on a smaller dose to begin with. I was taken to X-ray by Michael, a very cheerful and personable young man. Jessica C. the ED tech was kind and went step by step what she need me to do. I was taken back to my family while we awaited results. The two RN's, Kaylen B. and Cammile checked in on me several times and answered any questions my husband or son had. Kyle came back sometime later and explained I was experiencing Sciatica and exactly what that was. I was treated at all times with kindness, respect, and caring. I wanted to make sure I had all of their names so they could be recognized for the comfort and caring they gave me. I send them my sincerest appreciation.
