As buyers of a property on the Dulwich Estate marketed by The Modern House we have been very impressed by their professionalism, specialist knowledge and efficiency. So it was utterly unexpected that our sellers pulled out, 5 months after they accepted our offer, on what would otherwise have been the likely date of exchange. All the buyers/sellers in our - relatively long - chain will have experienced the same emotional distress and financial loss (solicitors fees, surveys, etc) as we have. Whilst The Modern House are clearly not responsible for their sellers' last-minute decision, we very much hope that should this particular property come back on the market with the same sellers, the Modern House would decline to act as agents.
