I would like to share my experience with the Philip LCD TV I purchased in Oct 2018.In 37 years , I had TV like Panasonic and Aftron which I used for long period time and never once gave it for repair. In order to upgrade the TV for size and to Smart TV , I purchased 55 inch Philip TV OCT 2018 from Carrefour at an offer price. Shockingly , the TV turned into a black screen in 2 years and its not working. Since the warranty period is over , I will have to go through expensive repair. But one important revelation when I consulted a TV repair person about the TV. He told that Philip and Hisense are the two brands where their TV parts quality,i.e, Back light inverter is compromised as per the price. Without telling the price , repair person himself told me that if the price is 1500 dhs then this is what is expected with the quality of the parts. I did not know this , as I felt that the Philip brand is a good brand , and with the offer price its a plus point. Now if I have to repair , the cost is 700 dhs + and therefore , its best I replace the TV itself with other reliable brand than Philips.
