Purchased my home April 2017 and still dealing with shoddy craftsmanship. Spoke with the owner and he claimed my standards were too high and that he was not to blame it was the contractors fault. I have tried to get resolve to no avail. The felt on the roof does not extend to the flashing and still have issues with finishing work. I would not suggest purchasing a Grayhawk home and have actually spoke with others,that have come to look at their homes, that they should do research and have had quite a few look at my home. One mentioned that if you suffer from OCD you could not live in my home as most angles in the home are not 90 degrees. I received praises from them for saving them the pain of dealing with what I have dealt with since April and they looked elsewhere. If only they had quality control. They are unable to build in Opelika and Auburn for a reason. Dave, if you are reading this do the right thing and fix the faults in my home that carries the Grayhawk name, I deserve that. You know it s bad when your own wife say in at closing and claimed her embarrassment for the state of the home.
Deacember had Rocky come in and start doing work on things that Robert told me were below construction standard. Rocky does great work, however he didn t finish as Robert had him going elsewhere on other jobs. On Thursday, January 25th, Robert, Rocky, and another gentleman came in and started working on my home again, mind you I purchased the home in April 2017. They were only here less than half the day. Robert was working on painting and after it dried is when I noticed it wasn t a good match. The shower under the lip is still unfinished, cracks in the grout, uneven doors, my stairs are separating from the wall and have fallen almost 1/4 of an inch, and the painting and sanding that should have been done to construction standard is still unfinished. What a headache trying to get anything done from these guys. I noticed that they would respond to a poor review from a former employee, but can t respond to an individual that purchased a home from them. Please do yourself a favor and don t go down the road I m on by purchasing a home from Grayhawk, you can thank me for that advice later.
