Kim Holocher-Furletti Review of Camp Speers YMCA

Used to love this camp and we were so happy to hear that it was being saved from closure. My son had a blast here for many summers and made lifelong friendships. He couldn't attend this year due to scheduling conflicts, which was unfortunate, so we thought. I'm reconsidering that after my incredibly poor experience just trying to get some basic information, or a returned phone call.
It wasn't just poor communication, but intentionally poor communication from the new management of this camp. Called FOUR times over the course of a month without a single returned phone call. All I wanted to know was when visiting times were. The previous management knew everyone by face, if not by name, they were welcoming and kind and always responsive to questions. After the last unreturned phone call I left a note on their Facebook page with greater details of my experience and how displeased I was about their refusal to return messages, and rather than address the oversight they deleted my post. They obviously got that message!
If they cannot uphold their own core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility how will they teach those values to your kids?
