Attended the William Blake exhibition. Having known very little about him prior, it was a fascinating look into his art, life, and character. The display of his elaborately illustrated transcripts was particularly fascinating, as well as his engravings, as I'd only ever known him as an "traditional" artist. It was an exceptional exhibition, and I'll be keeping tabs on ones in the future for artists of interest, as it really dug into every aspect of the man. The museum itself is a beautiful building, and I particularly enjoyed the surprise of coming face to face with some of Francis Bacon's pieces, having studied him extensively. There is such a wide timeline of art on display that there really is something for every art admirer, even if you aren't into contemporary art, and some fantastically skilled, famous names on show. Constable is always worth a journey!
