Josh Forster Review of Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin...

I honestly feel for the families that will experience their first Dell's vacation at Wilderness Resort. Immediately after checking in at 11a.m., my fiancee and I were instructed to talk with a woman before leaving the lobby and going to our room. We were told she would be discussing our discounts and coupons that were given to us upon arrival. We were offered some perks within the resort as long as we, and I quote, "Just toured the new condos on the property." We agreed, figuring no harm would be done. To make a long story short, we spent 2 hours arguing with a sales team that basically was trying to sell us on a time-share type of situation. Our children just sat 5 hours in the car, we already spent over a thousand dollars on this vacation and we just wanted to enjoy our time at the Dells. I completely understand different opinions on this type of 'deal' and the sales pitch that comes along with it. However I am shocked that a resort of this caliber would allow this kind of solicitation to guests that have just checked-in and are nothing but excited to begin a relaxing get-away. Needless to say, the experience was so negative that we decided to stay at an entirely different resort for our remaining time in the Dells, without any issues. I hope this review reaches those first timers that want nothing less than an enjoyable vacation.
