I m a local guide on Google, so hopefully you can trust my review. My wife s family lives about 30 minutes north of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. Historically, we have always stayed at Nichols Village, because we needed a hotel on the north end of Scranton, that was also pet-friendly. I never knew Camelot even existed prior to our stay for 4th of July 2019, but we will never stay anywhere else, when visiting Clarks Summit and points north. Convenient access to I-81 north and south.

Now for the hotel and restaurant. There are only 8 rooms in the hotel. The entire hotel is quaint, historical, and charming. We stayed in a Room 8, which has the only king size bed in the hotel. My wife, 2 year old Son, and Chihuahua loved it! The room itself is actually a suite with a living room and separate bedroom. The bathroom has a jetted bathtub, shower, etc. The room also has a refrigerator and microwave.

As for the restaurant, we only ate there once during our stay, but it was nice. I had fish and chips, my wife had the short-rib sandwich, and my son had chicken fingers and fries. No one left disappointed.

All in all, I stand by my 5-star rating. There aren t many pet-friendly hotels in the Scranton area, and Camelot is definitely the nicest one we have come across. Especially if you are staying in the Clarks Summit area to visit friends or family anywhere north of Scranton, especially if they live near Interstate 81. You won t be disappointed.

Thanks for a great stay!

Regards,
Bryan
