perry pd and specifically those officers tasked with preventing entry into today's graduation ceremonies at the murphy building should retake those community relations classes that tend to endear law enforcement to those they swear to protect...they are crude and lacking empathy to be doing the job they were tasked with...i watched my first child's graduation on a single screen in the overflow building even as i showed an hour early to this special occasion with my handicapped family member and young child to watch my daughter receive her diploma...the female officer wasn't having any of the conversation or pleading to allow us to sit in empty seats that were still available...at least 10 people can corroborate the seat availability and the officer's non empathetic tact...GOD show her mercy if she ever has a similar situation with her own child...she sure had none for me and my family...and for the record, i am pro law enforcement as my dad is a retired police officer and i am retired military...upset can't even begin to describe the emotions i have for perry pd and houston county board of education's decision making processes for this very important milestone in a child and parent's life...your community relations took a major hit with me and my family and friends today and this occasion can't be recreated...y'all ruined it....terrible
