If you want to be in college and feel like you are being treated like a child still, go here. The first thing threatened to you for just going down a wrong stairway door is that you can not visit the opposite genders room at all for 6 weeks. You can only visit the opposite gender's room from noon-11pm, and noon-midnight on weekdays in the dorms. Violation of this code will result in no visitation rights for 6 weeks. Oh and being a minority at this school, the school is filled with students who have prejudice feelings towards minorities. Public safety? They invade personal space all the time by entering into dorms and apartments at will, the same with R.A.'s. And Christian school? This school is the image of what gives Christians a bad reputation from strict rules and hypocrisy. Honestly, I am a youth leader at NewBirth Church in Pittsburg, CA, and this school is not as Christian as it is advertised as, and there is a reason why more than 1/3 of freshmen students transfer after their first semester of being at GCU.
