The garden is a magical place, with a variety of incredible flora and with references to 19th century Greek classics and literature like Vathek (arch) by William Bedford, who lived for a brief period of his life in this palace (or rather, a version precursor to the current). The palace is a unique example of the romanticism of the sec. XIX, with influences of Islamic and Asian culture.
