I'll preface my review by stating that I'm a bit of a raw bar snob. The first thing I noticed upon arrival was the smell of the place. The unmistakable stink of old shellfish was embedded in the woodwork and noticable outside. Not a good first impression, but I managed to power through it. The oysters were decent and fairly well shucked. The octopus was surprisingly bland, not well cleaned, and tasted overwhelmingly of just char and smoke - disappointing. Baked Oyster dish was just "meh". Was hoping for some local steamed NJ clams, but no clams on the menu. Best dish by far was the meatballs, which were huge and delicious. However, I was really hoping this Seafood restaurant would wow me with, you know, seafood - not meatballs. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but I don't think I'll go out of my way to return.
