When I checked in I gave the triage team my insurance information. They acknowledged my informed and handed it back. Once I was back receiving care, of which was never by a doctor only a nurse practitioner... A lady came by and introduced herself as a representative of the patient advocacy council. She asked if I had insurance? I was puzzled by this question as I had given my insurance information upon checking in. I offered it again. I was told no need and to rest as it would be taken care of later. Later it was!!!!! $7,000 later for food poisoning I never once saw an actual doctor, but charged for a "physicians fee" and an "emergency room fee" as well as a fee for miscellaneous items charges! I'd rather have died of dehydration and complications from my current medical problems than get caught up in this medical hell hole!!! Hospitals like this give the medical field a bad name. Steer clear of of this trap!
