25 years ago, I walked into this store looking for a watch band. A man at the store came up to help me. I told him I didn t have much money, but needed a replacement band for my watch. He said, Don t worry, Uncle Sol will take care of you. He spent 30 minutes with me, helping me get an inexpensive watch band.

I learned later that the man was Sol Meller, the third generation owner of this phenomenal, family-owned business. This owner of a big, successful business that sells watches costing up to hundreds of thousands of dollars each, spent 30 minutes with a kid to help him buy a simple watch band.

Since that day, I have been a fan of this business, and have enjoyed seeing it continue to grow from generation to generation (it is now headed by Sol s son, Scott). They have continued to grow and seem to be an even more successful business today, but still offer phenomenal service and really care for their customers.

A fourth generation, family-owned local business that continues to grow while serving the community is becoming a rarer breed these days, and is truly great to see. I highly recommend Feldmar Watch Company to anyone in Los Angeles looking to buy any type of watch.
